Quality Control / Customer Service Sucks,
by G. Schuster, 2008-12-27
Doesn't matter if the game is good, if it comes broken and you can't play it. Talked with the customer "service" and they require a receipt for a christmas gift, which I don't have. It was a gift from my kids grandparents. Like I'm going to use the wireless controller with anything else.
God forbid they test the product before the sell it.
Nice... but....,

Well I think this is a great game. actually I see this game as an expansion from the first one. the game is good. but it looks exactly as the previous one. the songs selection wasn't the best. For me this is like having the RB1 with lot of songs to play.
I just recommend this. if you are a really fan of RockBand.
Fun,

Old and new songs. Purchased along with the drum set for a 13 year old boy. Keeps him entertained for hours.
Once more, with feeling?,
by KithkinMD, 2008-12-19
After buying the first RB on a different system, and absolutely loving it, I made the difficult decision to buy RB2 on the 360, largely for the Xbox-Live tour mode, enabling me to have a long distance band with my husband. That part was great, and the play itself is still fun, but in comparison to the first RB (on PS3 or 360, as I rebought it for the AP), I had some, well, gripes.
First, with the elimination of the solo tour sometimes it's an absolute pain to find all the 84 songs in the game. I found myself constantly flipping through towns, trying in vain to find them to check them off, as it were. In the original RB it was easier to unlock and become familiar with the tracks. Would I trade off, no, but I would love a repository, maybe a town that listed only the tracks you'd gained access to, like RB did with the Harmonix bands?
Second, I've noticed a pretty big difference in vocal difficulty between the first and second games. Yes, I know it's from the creators of GH, and that the drums and guitar get more attention, but after completing solo tours on medium and hard for drums/guitar and strugglling to complete the expert tour on vocals, I can switch to RB2 and belt out the same song I've just gotten a 3 star rating on and get 4 stars without breaking a sweat, and 5 if I pay attention. I suppose it makes it more fun, but I like a bit of a challenge, and my hands can't really handle marathon drums or guitar (stupid RSI)
Still, quibbles aside, I do play RB2 more than 1, for the challenges, the increased content, and because, deep down, it's just good fun. I do, however, now have 2 drum sets, 4 guitars and 2 mics. Heaven help me if I decide to expand to GH:WT...
Rockband2 sets the online interactive music STANDARD!,
by Troy Hummon, 2008-12-06
Rockband2 is the popular sequel to the original Rockband. I love that downloaded songs for the original Rockband are visible in both Rockband2 and Rockband and for a few hundred XboxLive points you can transfer (copy) all your original Rockband songs (that came on the game DVD) to your downloaded tracks and play them in Rockband2. Therefore, in Rockband2 you can play all the original Rockband songs, plus all the Rockband2 songs plus all your downloaded content. Other than that, the game works pretty the same as the original Rockband. I play Rockband2 several hours a day (avg). Very excellent game. VERY worthwhile investment. MANY hours of great fun by yourself, with friends, with family or online with complete strangers! I've met a lot of great people online that I jam with virtually every week. GET THIS GAME!
